My Secret Pal Strikes Again!

Yay, yay, yay. Another fun package from my Secret Pal. I don't have my camera here today but photos will follow. I got fun googly eye-d animal stickers and a funny book mark, oh, and another great postcard. I can't tell you how fun it is to get packages from Taiwan! Thanks Secret Pal!!!!

Margaret's B-day present---TAKE 2

Let's see if I can get it right this time around...I have the right size needles, fab yarn and I'm set. I'm using Debbie Bliss Soho. It's a completely different yarn and style but I think it will make it a bit more interesting. We'll see....

Et Voila...with a twist

Yep, what started out as Margaret's YO HO has turned into the MINI YO HO for my niece Brooke.

It was a sad evening at Knit Happens last night. It turns out that I missed the part where Carol told me to use size 13 needles. Dang, dang, dang. I'm happy my niece will be able to wear it...but it's back to the needles for Margaret.

And, no, I don't have "man hands". (hahahahha) That just my office mate holding the pancho.

YO HO

Currently, I am madly knitting on my latest project, affectionately called "YO HO". Those at last Wednesday's "late night" at Knit Happens know exactly what this project is... I'm knitting this for my very good friend, Margaret. It will be her b-day present. I'd like it to be a surprise...but she can at least see the colors...and no...it's not a hat! Keep guessing missy margaret!

My Oh So Exotic Secret Pal

My secret pal lives in Taiwan!!!! How lucky am I??? Below are photos of the presents I just received. The picture does not show the yarn well, but it's the softest tweed yarn I've ever seen. I already know that I'm going to make one of those neck warmers (with button) with it. I think it's perfect! And I get some very clever stitch markers(again the picture doesn't do them justice) and tea that is grown locally. THANK YOU SO MUCH Secret Pal. You are terrific!!!!!

A work in progress

ruffle scarf

I'm finally getting a bit more done on this ruffle scarf (pattern from "Scarf Style"). It's really fun to knit. I like the short rows...although I hate when I miscalculate and have to figure out how to frog the wrapped stitches!

I would really like to finish this one up...I'm dying to start a new project! How is it others finish projects sooooo quickly????

Secret Pal 4

I'm so excited!!! I just signed up to participate in Secret Pal 4. I've so enjoyed reading and seeing about other Secret Pal exchanges in other's blogs and now I'm happy to join in!

I have been doing a lot of knitting lately. I finished a little hat for my friend Tyler's nephew, a scarf for my niece Brooke (the one previously mentioned for her ended up going to Tyler's niece). I'm currently enjoying knitting the ruffled scarf (from Scarf Style). I'm loving every minute of it! I saw Holly knitting it at Knit Happens (my lys) and fell in love with the project. It's coming along nicely.

I'll have photos of all items mentioned in my next post.
